The status of this event is second only to the Club Championship, it is open to members of affiliated clubs provided they meet a handicap limit. It was first played as a handicap event in 1963 with the winner receiving the Silver Plate. A scratch event was then introduced in 1976 together with the Cup trophy. The Cup has since been awarded for the Scratch winner and the Silver Plate for the Nett winner.
Open Amateur Event. Maximum GA handicap of 18 for members, 12 for visitors.
Members with handicaps greater than 18, may put their names on the waiting list and, in the event not all the places are taken, players may be admitted as space allows. Maximum playing handicap on the day will be 18.

Conditions of Entry
(To be read in conjunction with Major Event conditions)
Northbridge Cup takes precedence.
No competitor to receive more than one prize.
Northbridge Members must hold: 7 day membership.
Competitors for the Senior Trophy must be 50 years of age as at 24 September 2023.
Competitors for the Junior Trophy must be 17 years or younger at 24 September 2023.
Visitors must be a member of an affiliated Club.
Junior Members are eligible for the Northbridge Cup.

If the course is closed on the competition day it will be rescheduled by the Match Committee.
